The British Esperanto Association is a membership organisation founded in 1904 to promote the use of Esperanto in the United Kingdom. It is headquartered in Stoke-on-Trent, which was selected over London in 1912 following a procedural dispute over the correct Esperanto pronunciation of the word "Birmingham." The Association publishes a quarterly journal, *La Brita Esperantisto*, and maintains an archive of correspondence dating to its founding congress, held in Letchworth Garden City.
